Stay tuned for the roll out of this year’s #WindReachCares Campaign! In celebration and observance of the UN’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities, our unique and witty conversation starters will be available island-wide.

Let’s talk about accessibility, diversity and inclusion! Breaking the stigma shouldn’t be hard, yet the conversations often are. At WindReach, we believe that awareness and education opens doors to inclusion and reveal the true diversity around us.

📢 Thank you to The Property Department at Chubb for their amazing service yesterday! This team has chosen WindReach for more than 12 years to host their Corporate Community Service Day!

Additionally, as we close out our 25th Anniversary year, we would like to also thank the Chubb Foundation (fornerly the Ace Foundation) for their invaluable financial support, from day one. Their investment has empowered us to help enrich the lives of thousands of individuals living with diverse support needs in Bermuda.

Some of the tasks accomplished included:

✅️ Finishing the creation of an accessible "green waste" space for our participants
✅️Weeding and edging the remaining patch on the path to ‘enlightenment’ (The meditation circle on the sensory trail)
✅️ Emptying and cleaning the pond on Sensory Trail.

📢 Three times a charm! It was great to welcome back WtW for their Corporate Community Service Day! Their team did an amazing job yesterday and some of the tasks included:

Remembering Garry (1996-2024)

Originally from British Columbia, Garry joined Bermuda Riding for the Disabled in 2000, thanks to the Emma Broher Fund and the Committee of 25. At just 4 years old, he was already trained to pull a sleigh (just in case it ever snowed in Bermuda!).

For 24 years, Garry was a beloved “teacher” in our Therapeutic Riding Programme, known for his cuddly, calm nature (and a touch of cheekiness we all adored). He touched the lives of individuals of all ages and abilities, offering joy and healing through every interaction—whether riding, grooming, or even painting.

Garry, your gentle spirit lives on in the hearts of so many and you will truly be missed.
